Laura, so this is one of the many ways one can give depth to lines! (I must confess I am a bad learner it seems!) And how beautifully you do so. And to see both so tightly woven together both by lines and by colors. And, oh yes, the title. Enigmatic. For although together as what appears to be mother and child ------a truly asexual relationship---- there remains the beauty of hips to provide them both with a connection beyond the silence of the family structure.

I am glad that you liked this one. I think that sometimes a title can make a piece flow., I really appreciate that you always pay attention to this detail.

Why would you ever say that you are a bad learner? how can anyone be a bad learner? This makes me sad to hear... people go in their own directions, learn at their own speeds, in their own ways.

You are very welcome! I absolutely loved this one. Laura, please remember that I am Latin. I am a Canadian-Latino. I hope you read lots of Gabriel Garcia Marquez in your life and you will see how Latinos love humor. Have you ever read Faulkner? He influenced Gabo very much and uses a lot of humor as well. To survive in a country such as Colombia people use a lot of humor as well. It made me sad that you really thought I was a bad learner. Now we are both sad! That is not good. Actually, I am a very very very good learner! I have dedicated my life to teaching, studying and learning. It could not have done so if I did not have the qualities a good learner needs.

But, how could I be sad after seeing your beautiful watercolor?

Sorry to have taken you too seriously...

Do you think that being Latino makes you prone to being humorous? I am french german english irish native american... but I think that i have only grown up with the irish english american influences... so must be that I am a dry sarcastic good natured stuck up drunk. (With bad teeth?) Or maybe I am who my family is... In all my travels I am told that I am not very American natured... but then what does that mean? <grin>
:iconamelo14:
I just knew you were french german english irish native american. Now I understand your paintings much better. I myself am not really from this planet, but we will have to let that go for now.

Seriously speaking, have you read Gabo?
